Heigo Rosin (percussions), Auli Lonks (piano), Janne Shevtshenko (soprano), Marius Järvi (cello), Vahur Vurm (clarinet), Tarmo Eespere (piano) will perform music by Eduard Tubin, Raimo Kangro, Erkki-Sven Tüür, Tõnu Kõrvits, René Eespere, Eino Tamberg, Olav Ehala.
“Estonia” Theatre has cooperated with Estonian composers since its beginning and brought on stage many remarkable original works. The first opera, Evald Aav’s “Estonian Vikings” (Vikerlased) reached the stage in 1928 and the first Estonian ballet “The Goblin” (Kratt) was performed here in 1944. The theatre has been a continuous source of inspiration for various composers, therefore we have chosen to perform pieces by composers who have had close ties with us.
