Ülle Tundla



Ülle Tundla graduated from Tallinn Georg Ots Music School in 1976 and from Tallinn Conservatory as an opera singer in 1985. In 1979–1984 she was the soloist of the Mixed Choir of Estonian Radio. Since 1984 she sings in the chorus of the Estonian National Opera. She has also sung smaller soloist roles, such as Suzuki (Puccini’s “Madama Butterfly”), Fjodor and an Innkeeper (Mussorgsky’s “Boris Godunov”), Lucia (Mascagni’s “Cavalleria rusticana”), Flora and Annina (Verdi’s “La traviata”), Giovanna (Verdi’s “Rigoletto”), Mercédès (Bizet’s “Carmen”), Tchaikovsky’s Olga and Larina (“Eugene Onegin”) and Governess (“The Queen of Spades”), etc. In addition she has sung roles in operettas: Kálmán’s “Die Gräfin Mariza”, Strauss’ “Der Zigeunerbaron” and “Eine Nacht in Venedig”, Sullivan’s “Mikado”, etc. She has also sung the soloist parts in oratorios and at the premieres of the works of Estonian composers.
