Patrick Foster


Patrick Foster trained at the Australian Ballet School, the School of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater and graduated from Canada’s National Ballet School in 2014. He has been a dancer with the National Ballet of Canada (2014–2015) and Zürich Ballet (2015–2017). Since 2017 he is a dancer with the Estonian National Ballet. His repertoire includes Spuck’s “The Sandman”, “Romeo and Juliet”, Ratmansky’s “Swan Lake”, Portugal’s “Dialogos”, Bart’s “Giselle”, MacMillan’s “Manon”, Neumeier’s “Nijinsky”, Nureyev’s “The Sleeping Beauty”, Kudelka’s “The Nutcracker”, Wheeldon’s “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland” and “Carousel”, Binet’s “Postlude” and “Wave Ring”, van Schayk’s “Seventh Symphony”, Volpi’s “Chalkboard Memories” among others. At the Estonian National Ballet, he has danced the Nutcracker Prince (Tchaikovsky’s “The Nutcracker”), Franz (Hynd’s “Coppélia”), Goblin (Tubin’s “The Goblin”), Pas de trois (Tchaikovsky’s “Swan Lake”), the Peasant pas de deux (Adam’s “Giselle”), Prince in the “Cinderella Variation” (Tchaikovsky’s “The Sleeping Beauty”), Happy (Harangozó’s “Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs”) and others. He has won the Jeff Melanson Prize for Artistic Achievement and the Peter Dwyer Award for Artistic Achievement (both in 2013), MyFitness Dance Award (2018), 3rd prize at the Tallinn International Ballet Competition (2018).
