Oleksandr Melnychuk



Oleksandr Melnychuk graduated from Tchaikovsky National Music Academy of Ukraine in 2008. While still studying, he joined the group of trainees at the National Opera of Ukraine in 2005 and soon became a soloist with the same company. He has also studied with George Darden, Gloria Guida, Dmitriy Vdovin. Melnychuk’s repertoire includes the title role in Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin” and Tomsky (“The Queen of Spades”), Griaznoy (Rimsky-Korsakov’s “The Tsar’s Bride”), Verdi’s Rodrigo (“Don Carlo”), Germont (“La traviata”) and Marullo (“Rigoletto”), Fiorello (Rossini’s “Il barbiere di Siviglia”) and Morales (Bizet’s “Carmen”). He is the laureate of the vocal competition “New Names of Ukrania” (Kiev 2003).
