Nanae Maruyama (on maternity leave)


Nanae Maruyama has studied dancing at the School of Tokyo City Ballet (2000–2002) and at John Cranko Ballet School in Stuttgart (2002–2004). In 2004–2006 she danced at Cannes Jeune Ballet, since 2006 she is the member of the Estonian National Ballet. Her repertoire includes Nikiya (Minkus’ “La Bayadère”), Queen Anne (Nixon’s “The Three Musketeers”), I pas de deux (Christe’s “Before Nightfall”), Tchaikovsky’s pas de trois (“Swan Lake”), Snow Queen (“The Nutcracker”), soloist part in Edur’s “Silent Monologues”, Princess Florina and the Lilac Fairy (“The Sleeping Beauty”), Prima ballerina (Stravinsky’s “Petrushka”), Amor (Minkus’ “Don Quixote”), Swanilda’s friend (Delibes’s “Coppélia”), Courtesan (MacMillan’s “Manon”), soloist parts in short ballets: “Dov’è la luna” (choreography by Jean-Christophe Maillot), “Ou sont passees…?” (choreography by Eric Oberdorff) and “ICE” (choreography by Carolyn Carlson). Nanae Maruyama has been recognised at many international dance competitions.
