Merūnas Vitulskis began his singing studies at the Kaunas Conservatory and continued at the Lithuanian Music and Theatre with Jonas Antanavičius. Since 2009 he studies for his MA degree at the Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy with Prof. Virgilius Noreika. In 2010 he made his debut at the Lithuanian National Opera with the role of Nemorino in Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore”. In 2012 he performed also Lensky in Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin”. He launched his international career in 2011 at the St Moritz Festival with the role of Sir Hervey in Donizetti’s “Anna Bolena” and in 2012 Alfredo in Verdi’s “La traviata” followed at the ABAO Opera in Bilbao. In 2006 he won the TV Competition “Road to the Stars”, in 2008 he won the Estonian competition “The Song of Laagna” and the International Singing Competition “Canzoni dal Mondo” (Italy). In 2009 he received an award at the Stasys Baras Singing Competition. He was among the five finalists of the “Societa Umanitaria Milan” Singers and Instrumentalists’ Competition in the same year, followed by a concert tour in Europe.
