Maria Rossi Franchi

Set designer

Maria Rossi Franchi undertook classical studies in Florence and then graduated from Rome’s University Tre in Architecture. In 2006 she made her debut as set designer and worked for opera companies and movie industry. Since 2015 she is a project coordinator at the Technical Department of Teatro dell’Opera di Roma. Recently she has created sets for the Estonian National Opera, Soirées Lyriques de Sanxay, Theatro Municipal de Sao Paulo, Rome Opera House, Compagnia della Luna, Teatro Brancaccio, Teatro del Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, Teatro Verdi in Pisa, Teatro del Giglio in Lucca and has been an associate partner for Nicola Piovani, Marco Gandini, Michele Della Cioppa, Italo Grassi, Quirino Conti, Filippo Crivelli, Alessandro Marrazzo. In 2009 she started a professional collaboration with the set designer Andrea Tocchio.
