Kealan McLaughlin


Kealan McLaughlin graduated from Canada’s National Ballet School and received his Graduate Degree in 2009. He then joined Alberta Ballet (2009–11) before dancing with Ballet Jörgen (2011–2017). He  has also participated as a guest with The Chimera Project (2012), Opera Atelier (2008–14) and Jeunesse Classique Ballet Society (2011–14). Since 2017 he is a soloist with the Estonian National Ballet and since September 2018 a principal dancer. His repertoire includes Peter I (Edur/Aints’ “Catherine I”), Stanley Kowalski (Meckler/Ochoa/Salem’s “A Streetcar Named Desire”), Tchaikovsky’s Prince Florimund and Blue Bird (“The Sleeping Beauty”), Prince Siegfried, Pas de Trois, Rothbart (“Swan Lake”), Prince and Lead Snow Cavalier (“The Nutcracker”), Eugene Onegin (Cranko’s “Onegin”), Solor (Minkus’ “La Bayadère”), Prokofiev’s Prince Charming (“Cinderella”), Romeo and Tybalt (“Romeo and Juliet”), Albrecht (Adam’s “Giselle”), The Poet (Fokin’s “Les Sylphides”), The Murderer (Balkan’s “The Rite of Spring”), and soloist in van Schayk’s “Ephebe”. He has also been a guest teacher within various programmes across Canada.
