Jevgenij Chrebtov graduated from the Lithuanian Academy of Music and Theatre in 2009, the classes of Prof. Virgilijus Noreika, Prof. Giedrė Kaukaitė and Prof. Vladimiras Prudnikovas. In 2005 he made his debut as a bass at the Lithuanian National Opera and since 2011 he is a soloist at the Kaunas State Musical Theatre. He made a transition to baritone in the same year. He is a laureate of Tiit Kuusik International Lied Competition (2012, 1st prize), F. Shaliapin International Competition “Voices over Plyos” (2010, 4th prize), Z. Paulauskas Competition for Young Singers (2004, 2003, 2002), S. Baras National Singing Competition (2003). His repertoire includes Masalskis (Dvarionas’ “Dalia”), Onegin and Gremin (Tchaikovsky’s “Eugene Onegin”), Don Basilio (Rossini’s “Il barbiere di Siviglia”), Escamillo and Zuniga (Bizet’s “Carmen”), Figaro and Bartolo (Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro”), Dr Falke (Strauss’ “Die Fledermaus”), etc.
