Hele Kõrve


Hele Kõrve graduated from Estonian Music Academy’s Drama School in 2002 and joined the troupe of Tallinn City Theatre in the same year. Her most recent roles in the theatre include Hippolyta (Shakespeare’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream”), Giraffe (Rodrigues’ “Sadness and Joy in the Life of Giraffes”), Amy Thomas (Hare’s “Amy’s View”), Seta Tomasian (Kalinoski’s “Beast on the Moon”), “Tallinn City Theatre Sings. A Happy Evening”, Margaret (Brautigan’s/Liivak’s “In Watermelon Sugar”), Girl (Jónasson’s “The Deep”), Dina (Pirandello’s “Right You Are (if You Think So)”)”, Karin (Tammsaare’s/Nüganen’s “Karin. Indrek. Truth and Justice. 4”), “Songs of Estonian Theatre”, Sirli (Tätte’s “Meeletu”), Molli (Tammsaare’s/Nüganen’s “Truth and Justice. Part 2”), in other theatres: Eliza Doolittle (Loewe’s “My Fair Lady”, Estonian National Opera), Julia (Shakespeare’’s/Dvinjaninov’s/Liitmaa’s/Kreem’s “Romeo and Juliet”, Estonian State Puppet and Youth Theatre), Elo (T. Sinissaar’s “Salt Ship”, Pärimusteater Loomine), Rita (Lennuk’s “Boob Knows”, Radio Theatre), Liesl (Rodgers’/Hammerstein’s “The Sound of Music”, Smithbridge Productions). She has also played in many films and TV-series, including “Nimed marmortahvlil” (Taska Film), “Lucky 13” and “Tuulepealne maa” (both for ETV). Hele Kõrve has been awarded Tallinn City Theatre Best Actress Colleague Award (2004, 2007, 2012 and 2016), Annual Estonia Theatre Award (2007), ESPAK Acting Award (2007), Eesti Päevalet prize (2012) and Ants Lauter Actor Award (2012).
