Giordano Lucà began his singing studies in 2005 at the age of 16 at the Lyric Academy of Katia Ricciarelli, who immediately recognised his talent. In 2007 he began private studies at the Music Institute of Milano with Carlo Gaifa and continued his lessons in Rome with Clizia Aloisi, Sergio La Stella and Althoff Pugliese. Later he attended the master classes of Enzo Dara and Monserrat Caballè. His repertoire includes Verdi’s Duke (“Rigoletto”) and Alfredo (“La traviata”) as well as Rodolfo (Puccini’s “La bohème”). He has also performed at concerts mainly in Italy, but also in Spain, Denmark, Russia and China. He has recorded with the Italian Broadcasting Company and Italian Television RAI 1. Giordano Lucà is a winner of the “Concorso Lirico Città di Merano” and the Mario Lanza prize at the “Concorso Lirico di Filignan”. He was also a finalist at the “BBC Cardiff Singer of the World Competition” (Audience Award) as well as the international “Operalia Competition” (2nd Prize) in 2010.
