Ester Pajusoo graduated from Estonian Drama Studio in 1957 and joined Estonian Drama Theatre in 1959. Pajusoo’s extensive repertoire includes numerous leading roles in the plays of W. Shakespeare, E. Vilde, A. Kitzberg, O. Luts, A. H. Tammsaare, M. Traat, J. Kruusvall, J. Kross, A. Kivirähk, M. Kõiv, M. Unt, J. Smuul, H. Ibsen, F. Dürrenmatt, S. Beckett, F. G. Lorca, A. Tchekhov, J. W. Goethe, R. Cooney among others. Ester Pajusoo has also performed in Nargen Festival theatre, radio plays and TV-plays. She has been awarded the Small Ants (Estonian Drama Theatre Colleague Award for the Best Supporting Actress, 2001), Big Ants (Estonian Drama Theatre Colleague Award for the Best Leading Actress, 2016) and the Order of the White Star, 4th Class (2004).
