Angelika Mikk graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music in 2004 (the singing class of docent Nadia Kurem). She has attended the master classes of several well-known singing pedagogues: Ilena Cotrubas, Judith Beckmann, Kevin Smith, Paolo De Napoli and Prof. Hartmut Höll.

In 2004 Angelika Mikk took part in the X Juliįn Gayarre Singing Contest in Pamplona, Spain, where she earned a place in the semi-final and in 2005 she participated in the Klaudia Taev Opera Singers Competition in Pärnu, where she was elected among the 6 finalists. In 2007–2013 she was a soloist of the Estonial National Opera. Since 2013 she is a free-lance artist.
Angelika Mikk’s stage debut took place in 2003, when she sang Juliet in Britten’s opera The Little Sweep at the Estonian National Opera. Her other roles include Amahl (Menotti’s “Amahl and the Night Visitors”), Sofia (Rossini’s “Signor Bruschino”), Lucy (Menotti’s “Telephone”), Queen of the Night (Mozart’s “The Magic Flute”), Amina (Bellini’s “La Sonnambula”), Adina (Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore), Adele (J. Strauss’s “Die Fledermaus”), Elvira (Rossini’s “The Italian Girl in Algiers”), Clorinda (Rossini’s “La Cenerentola”), Roxane (Tamberg’s “Cyrano de Bergerac”), Frasquita (Bizet’s “Carmen”, Promfest Opera Music Festival, 2007), Gilda (Verdi’s “Rigoletto”), Pepi Pleininger (J. Strauss’ “Wiener Blut”), Clarice (Haydn’s “Life on the Moon”, Nargen Festival, 2008), Jemmy (Rossini’s “Guillaume Tell”, 2008), Oscar (Verdi’s “Un ballo in maschera”), Ninetta (Prokofjev’s “The Love for Three Oranges”), Rosenmblum (Vinter/Raudmäe “Pippi Longstocking”, 2011) and Flower Maiden (Wagner’s “Parsifal”, 2011).

Her concert repertoire includes soprano parts in W. A. Mozart’s “Mass in G minor”, Schubert’s “Mass in G major”, Orff’s “Carmina Burana”, Urmas Sisask’s “Mass No. 2”, John Rutter’s “Gloria”, A. L. Webber’s Requiem. She has given several recitals and performed with various opera programs.

Angelika Mikk has performed in Finland, Latvia, Poland, Germany and cooperated with conductors, such as Eri Klas, Arvo Volmer, Ari Angervo, Andris Veismanis, Anu Tali, Wojciech Michniewski, Paul Mägi and many others. She has played also in several well-known Estonian TV-series like “Kättemaksukontor” ,“Kelgukoerad”, “Tupiktänava mehed” and “Pilvede all”.
