Anatoli Arhangelski


Anatoly Arhangelsky graduated from the Tallinn Choreography School in 1996. He is engaged at the Estonian National Opera since the same year and since 2003 he is the soloist. Roles: Peter I (Edur’s/Aints’ “Catherine I”), Amedeo Modigliani (Edur’s/Aints’ “Modigliani – the Cursed Artist”), Stanley Kowalski (Meckler/Ochoa/Salem’s “A Streetcar Named Desire”), Bryaxis (Ravel’s “Daphnis et Chloé”), Gremin (Cranko’s “Onegin”), the Master and the Devil (Tubin’s “The Goblin”), Tchaikovsky’s Rotbart (“Swan Lake”), Drosselmeier and “Arabian Dance” (“The Nutcracker”) and pas de deux (“The Sleeping Beauty“), Paris and Tybalt (Prokofiev’s “Romeo and Juliet”), Friend (“A Wedding Voyage” by Kallos), Station Guard and 2nd Act Duet (Shchedrin’s “Anna Karenina”), Coppelius (Delibes’s/Bigonzetti’s “Coppélia”), Ulysses Bohnam (Cannito’s “Cassandra”), Huntsman (Harangozó’s „Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs“), Porthos and the Duke of Buckingham (“The Three Musketeers” by Nixon), Golaud (Härm’s “Pelléas et Mélisande”), Lescaut (MacMillan’s “Manon”), Gabriel von Eisenstein (Hynd’s “Rosalinde”), the Messenger of Death (MacMillan’s “Song of the Earth”), etc. In 2012 Anatoly Arhangelsky won the ERGO Dance Award and in 2013 the Annual Estonian Theatre Award.
