Nominees for the Annual Theatre Awards have been made public

The Estonian Theatre Association disclosed the nominees for the Annual Theatre Awards for the work done in 2012. The winners will be awarded at the celebration of the World Theatre Day on March 27 at 7 PM in Endla Theatre. The nominees for musical and ballet performances are:

Musical performance award
Jury: Kerri Kotta (chairman), Alvar Loog, Tiina Mattisen, Kristel Pappel, Raili Sule.

Ain Anger – the creation of the enthralling and powerful character of Mephistopheles in the opera Faust by Charles Gounod (Estonian National Opera).
Monika-Evelin Liiv – the convincing and musically impressive role solutions of Julius Caesar and Cornelia in the opera Julius Caesar by Georg Friedrich Händel (Estonian National Opera).
Helen Lokuta – the sensitive and nuanced character of Siébel in the opera Faust by Charles Gounod and the musically rich role of Adalgisa in the opera Norma by Vincenzo Bellini (Estonian National Opera).
Priit Volmer – the elegant and multifaceted interpretation of the role of Mephistopheles in the opera Faust by Charles Gounod (Estonian National Opera).

Ballet performance award
Jury: Enn Suve (chairman), Kaie Kõrb, Juta Lehiste, Elena Poznjak-Kõlar, Irina Härm.

Toomas Edur
– directing the ballet Modigliani – the Cursed Artist in the Estonian National Opera.
Marina Kesler – directing the ballet Cinderella in the Estonian National Opera.
Olga Rjabikova – roles in the stage performances of the Estonian National Opera: Rosalinde (Rosalinde), Fairy (Cinderella), Snow Queen (The Nutcracker).
Anatoli Arhangelski – roles in the stage performances of the Estonian National Opera: Modigliani (Modigliani – the Cursed Artist), Eisenstein (Rosalinde), Lescaut and the Prison Guard (Manon).
Ilja Mironov and Nashua Mironova – duets in the stage performances The Nutcracker, Casanova, The Sleeping Beauty (Vanemuine).
