Moscow’s Helikon-Opera is coming to Tallinn
Estonian National Opera will continue exchanging stages with its neighbouring countries. This autumn Helikon-Opera from Moscow will give an Opera Gala on October 14 and on October 13 and 15 Rimsky-Korsakov’s “The Tsar’s Bride” staged by the Artistic Director of the Helikon-Opera Dmitry Bertman will be performed. Helikon-Opera and Dmitry Bertman have close artistic ties with Estonia and the Estonian National Opera that go back a long time. For the Opera Gala, Bertman has put together an exciting programme, featuring beloved pieces from the works of Russian, Estonian and Italian composers. The concert features soloists of the Helikon-Opera including Larisa Kostiuk, Elena Mikhailenko, Lidiya Svetozarova, Alexey Isaev, Igor Morozov, Orchestra and Chorus as well as the soloists of the Estonian National Opera, Kristel Pärtna and Oliver Kuusik.
At the same time Estonian National Opera will give performances at the Helikon-Opera in Moscow. Russian audiences will see Gounod’s opera “Faust” (staged by Dmitry Bertman), an Opera Gala and Tubin’s ballet “The Goblin” (choreographer Marina Kesler).
