Tatiana Lisnic in “La bohème” in January
Tatiana Lisnic will sing the role of Mimi at the Estonian National Opera’s “La bohème” on 9 and 15 January. Lisnic graduated from Chișinău Music High School and obtained further training at Cluj Conservatory in Romania. She made her operatic debut at Cluj Opera as Nedda (Leoncavallo’s “Pagliacci”) and Ilia (Mozart’s “Idomeneo”). With a Karajan scholarship she became a member of Staatsoper Wien in 2003, singing Adina (Donizetti’s “L’Elisir d’amore”), Lauretta (Puccini’s “Gianni Schicchi”), Susanna (Mozart’s “Le nozze di Figaro”) and Nannetta (Verdi’s “Falstaff”). Her career has taken her to the most famous opera houses, in collaboration with the most distinguished conductors, from Teatro alla Scala under Riccardo Muti to La Monnaie under Antonio Pappano. Her burgeoning career has also brought numerous concert performances in the major European musical centres. Her repertoire further includes Donizetti’s Norina (“Don Pasquale”, London Royal Opera House), Lucia (“Lucia di Lammermoor”, Oper Frankfurt), Puccini’s Mimì (“La bohème”, Opéra royal de Wallonie, Oper Frankfurt), Liu (“Turandot”, Opéra de Dijon, Hamburgische Staatsoper), Zerlina (Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”, La Monnaie), Margarethe (Gounod’s “Faust”, Opéra de Dijon, Hamburgische Staatsoper), Mozart’s Susanna (“Le nozze di Figaro”, Staatsoper Berlin), Pamina (“Die Zauberflöte”, Teatro La Fenice), Verdi’s Violetta (“La traviata”, L’Opéra national du Rhin), Bizet’s Leïla (“Les pêcheurs de perles”, Oper Frankfurt), Micaëla (“Carmen”, Teatro Massimo Bellini), Glauce (Charpentier’s “Medée”, Opéra national de Montpellier), Rodelinda (Telemann’s “Flavius Bertaridus”, Hamburgische Staatsoper), among many others. Her engagements for the current 2013/14 season include Adina at the San Diego Opera and Mariinsky Theatre, her first Donna Anna (Mozart’s “Don Giovanni”) at Theater St. Gallen and Opéra de Toulon, Margarethe at Hamburgische Staatsoper and Liu at the Seoul Opera House.
