Estonian National Ballet gives performances in Finland and Italy
Estonian National Ballet visits Finland on 13-15 November to give four performances of “Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs” in Tampere-talo. The troupe amounts to 70 people, performances are conducted by Kaspar Mänd, the leading roles feature Svetlana Danilova, Heidi Kopti, Jonatan Davidsson and Sergei Upkin. The Hungarian choreographer Gyula Harangozó has come to greet the troupe again after the premiere of the ballet at the Estonian National Opera in 2008.
“We have been to Tampere before with “The Nutcracker” and “Swan Lake”. “Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs” is new to the finnish audiences and therefore the ballet is met with great interest,” says the Artistic Director of the Estonian National Ballet, Thomas Edur. “This is quite a challenge for us as the stage of the Tampere concert hall is very different from ours”.
An estimated 4000 people will attend the performences in Tampere.
Recently, Estonian National Ballet has given performances in Italy, China, Spain, U.S.A and elsewhere, the next tour will take the troupe to revisit Teatro La Fenice in Venice in December. This time the Estonian National ballet will give five performances of “La Bayadere”.
