Ain Anger receives the national culture award
Estonian Ministry of Culture has announced the winners of the national culture award for the year 2013. Among other well-known Estonian cultural figures, bass singer Ain Anger will receive the award for his remarkable roles at the Estonian National Opera as well as his international activities.
Ain Anger sang at the Estonian National Opera in 1992-2003, currently he is the soloist of Vienna State Opera and a frequent guest at major opera houses and concert halls around the world. Lately he has been performing as a guest soloist in various roles at the Estonian National Opera, most notable of which is the role of Méphistophélès in Charles Gounod’s „Faust”.
The national culture awards will be handed over on the Independence Day, 24th of February.
