Estonian ballet stars Helimets, Looris, Seletskaja and Jermakov on the home stage

On April 29 and 30, the Estonian National Ballet will celebrate the International Dance Day with Ballet Galas by delighting the audience with dance numbers from classical to modern dance. Toomas Edur, Artistic Director of the Estonian National Ballet, brings from world stages to the home audience the soloists who have studied at Tallinn Ballet School - Tiit Helimets from San Francisco Ballet, Linnar Looris from Houston Ballet and Maria Seletskaja and Stanislav Jermakov from Zurich Ballet.
The soloist of San Francisco Ballet, Julianne Kepley, Takuya Sumitomo from Vanemuine Theatre and young ballet stars Maksim Zjuzin and Irina Golub from St. Petersburg Maria Theatre will also perform as guests at the Ballet Gala. The Estonian National Ballet will be represented by Eve Andre, Sergei Upkin, Olga Malinovskaja, Artjom Maksakov, Alena Shkatula, Maksim Tšukarjov, Marika Muiste, Luana Georg, Anatoli Arhangelski, etc.

During the gala concert on April 29, the dance awards of ERGO, the main sponsor of the Estonian National Ballet, will be ceremoniously handed over for the first time.

The International Dance Day is celebrated worldwide every year on April 29. The purpose of the International Dance Day is to value the art of dance and overcome political, cultural and national barriers through dance language.
