Alena Shkatula graduated from Minsk Ballet School in 2003. In 2001–2003 she danced in the ballet troupe of Belarus Opera, being at the same time also a demi-soloist. She became a soloist in 2003. Since 2008 she is the soloist of the Estonian National Ballet. Her repertoire includes Rosalinde (Hynd’s Rosalinde), Manon (MacMillan’s Manon), Odette/Ottilie (Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake), Sugar Plum Fairy, soloist of the Waltz of the Flowers (The Nutcracker by Tchaikovsky), Queen Anne (The Three Musketeers by Nixon), Mercédès and Dulcinea (Minkus’ Don Quixote), Solo from Ravel’s Boléro and Scholz’s Symphony No. 2, Princess Florina and Lilac Fairy (The Sleeping Beauty by Tchaikovsky).
