Marika Muiste has graduated from the Tallinn Ballet School in 1998. In the same year she joined the Estonian National Opera ballet troupe. She is a soloist since 2005. Marika Muiste has participated in master classes in Vienna (2002, 2003, 2004, 2006 and 2007). Roles: Klara (Bigonzetti/Delibes’ Coppélia), Rose (Vamos’ Shannon Rose), Madame Bonacieux (Nixon’s The Three Musketeers), Anaïs (Härm’s La Dame aux Camélias), Ophelia (Titova’s Hamlet), Sylph and the First Sylph (Bournonville’s La Sylphide), Quiteria’s friend (Petipa, Gorski, Härm’s Don Quixote), Four Swans, pas de trois (Tchaikovsky/Härm’s Swan Lake), Spring (Prokofjev/Murdmaa’s Cinderella), Fairy (Tchaikovsky/Suve’s The Sleeping Beauty), Gypsy (Pugni/Dolgushin’s Esmeralda), Giselle’s friend (Adam/Härm’s Giselle), Roses’ valse, Chinese dance (Tchaikovsky/Murdmaa’s The Nutcracker), dance soloist (Strauss’ Eine Nacht in Venedig), valse and mazurka (Chopiniana), Daglioni (Pas de quatre). She has danced in Stravinsky/Egerházi’s The Firebird, Chopin/Elo’s Red With Me, Teet Kase’s UrsulaX, Russel Adamson’s Then nad Now, and participated in Eurovision 2002 song contest’s dance show by Teet Kask. Marika Muiste has won the Philip Morris Young Dancer’s Award in 2001 and the Klaudia Maldutis scholarship 2008.
