Eve Andre graduated from the Tallinn Ballet School in 1996. Since the same year she is the soloist of the Estonian National Ballet. She has received several prizes: the Young Dancer Prize of the Estonian Cultural Endowment (1996) and the grant of the Cultural Endowment (1999, 2008), the Klaudia Maldutis Prize (1998), the diploma of the international competition of ballet dancers Arabesque 2000 (Perm). At the same competition, Eve Andre and Sergei Upkin were given the title of the most charming pair by the press. She has received the Philip Morris prize for the roles in The Nutcracker and in the jazz ballet In the Mood with the Duke by R. Adamson (2000), the annual Theatre Prize of Estonian Theatre (2009), ERGO Dance Award 2010, Estonian Professional Dancers’ Union Colleague Prize 2011.
Roles: Julia (Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet), Swanilda (Delibes’s Coppélia), Klara (Delibes’s/Bigonzetti’s Coppélia), Marie and Sugar Plum Fairy (Tchaikovsky’s The Nutcracker), Sylph (Bournonville’s La Sylphide), Snow White (Harangozó’s Snow White and the 7 Dwarfs), Constance (Nixon’s The Three Musketeers), Cassandra (Schiavoni’s/Cannito’s Cassandra), Desdemona (Kesler’s Othello), Tina (Kesler’s Werewolf), Antigone (Murdmaa’s Antigone), Lescaut’s Mistress (MacMillan’s Manon), Adele (Hynd’s Rosalinde), soloist in Scholz’s Symphony No. 2 and in Christe’s Before Nightfall, Adamson’s jazz ballets (In the Mood with Duke, Then and Now, At the Still Point), Fanny (Oberly’s Conservatoire), Jenny and Rosalie (Oberley’s The Fairy-tale in Pictures), Princess Florina and Aurora (Tchaikovsky’s The Sleeping Beauty), the pas de deux of the 3rd act), pas de troix (Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake), pas de deux (Adam’s Giselle), Kitty (Shchedrin’s Anna Karenina), Quiteria (Quiteria’s Wedding, Vanemuine Theatre), Amor and two friends (Minkus’ Don Quixote), Spring (Prokofiev’s Cinderella), in Titova’s performances she has danced the Nymph (Hamlet), Rabbit (Welcome to Estonia), Fox (The Little Prince), etc. She has danced with Sergei Upkin on the European tour, in Taiwan, Helsinki, Kuopio, Imatra, Latvia, Russia and Wales. Eve Andre has participated in the following films: Mati Kütt’s animation The Underground Habitant and Ilmar Raag’s Killing Tartu. Together with Andrus Laur, she has choreographed the dance number Whatever (music by LU:K).
